The other three locations - Treasure Chest, Delta Downs and Evangeline Downs - started their sportsbooks in December. In November, Boomtown Bossier City, Boomtown New Orleans, Golden Nugget Lake Charles, Harrah's New Orleans, Horseshoe Bossier City, both L'Auberge locations and Margaritaville combined for 27.6 million wagers and $5.7 million in revenue. ![]() ![]() The sportsbooks also brought in more than $1 million in tax revenue for the state in November and December combined. Online sports betting is expected to launch in early 2022. Sports betting will still be prohibited in Caldwell, Catahoula, Franklin, Jackson, LaSalle, Sabine, Union, West Carroll and Winn, the parishes where voters rejected the gaming expansion. Voters in 55 of Louisiana's 64 parishes approved sports betting in 2020, and the state legislature set up the regulatory framework for sports betting in 2021.
